What is Tapping?

Tapping, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), is a powerful holistic healing technique that has been proven to effectively resolve a range of issues. It is based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology.

The basic Tapping technique requires you to focus on a negative emotion at hand - a fear, a worry, a bad memory, an unresolved problem, or anything that's bothering you. While maintaining your mental focus on this issue, you use your fingertips to tap 5-7 times on 9 specific meridian points of the body.

Tapping on these meridian endpoints, while verbally or mentally addressing the root cause of distress, sends a calming signal from the body to the brain, allowing you to feel relaxed and in control.

How Does it Work?

Tapping makes full use of the mind-body connection, acknowledging and integrating the concepts that physical pain, disease, and mental wellbeing are intricately connected to our emotional states.

When we tap with the fingertips on specific meridian endpoints of the body, while focusing on negative emotions or physical sensations, both the brain's limbic system and the body's energy system are engaged, encouraging a sense of safety and resolution.

Through tapping, we're able to calm the nervous system, rewire the brain to respond in healthier ways, and restore the body's balance of energy.

EFT Tapping has been amazing. It has given me a new lease on life. I have suffered from chronic anxiety for 50 years & took meds only when exercise & meditation weren’t working. Somehow, an article about EFT tapping came across my FB feed. Did a little research & voila, I tried the anxiety series. Been tapping for a little over 4 months & my anxiety is gone. Life changing!

The very first time I tried tapping, I became a believer and a huge fan. I cleared a recent trauma in maybe 10 minutes... I’ve gone from skeptic to enthusiast in that 10 minutes! It also got me through a recent shoulder replacement surgery with NO pain medication... I am quite serious! Try it. It may seem a bit odd at first, but it WORKS.

The Tapping App is an amazing resource. It is easy to find the best tapping meditation, because they are all categorized. There is also a search bar that helps me find the meditation for what I am specifically needing or feeling at the time. These apps are very helpful. I use it everyday. I feel consistency for me is very important. Having the app handy is fantastic!

I came to this app already knowing about EFT, so I’ll admit to being a bit biased. That being said, I am trained in psychotherapy modalities, and I know it works. This stuff seems to work for a lot of people, and it has worked wonders for me personally.This app isn’t a game changer, but it is a really easy way to learn about EFT and get guided into it in bite-sized increment, which can make all the difference.
