What is Tapping?

Tapping, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), is a powerful holistic healing technique that has been proven to effectively resolve a range of issues. It is based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology.

The basic Tapping technique requires you to focus on a negative emotion at hand - a fear, a worry, a bad memory, an unresolved problem, or anything that's bothering you. While maintaining your mental focus on this issue, you use your fingertips to tap 5-7 times on 9 specific meridian points of the body.

Tapping on these meridian endpoints, while verbally or mentally addressing the root cause of distress, sends a calming signal from the body to the brain, allowing you to feel relaxed and in control.

How Does it Work?

Tapping makes full use of the mind-body connection, acknowledging and integrating the concepts that physical pain, disease, and mental wellbeing are intricately connected to our emotional states.

When we tap with the fingertips on specific meridian endpoints of the body, while focusing on negative emotions or physical sensations, both the brain's limbic system and the body's energy system are engaged, encouraging a sense of safety and resolution.

Through tapping, we're able to calm the nervous system, rewire the brain to respond in healthier ways, and restore the body's balance of energy.

Is Tapping Backed by Science?

Thanks to the incredible work of researchers, scientists, and participants over the past 20+ years, there have been hundreds of studies conducted on proving the effectiveness of EFT Tapping.

I have found tapping to be extremely helpful and this app makes it so easy to do! I do suggest the monthly subscription as that opens up tapping meditations on just about every topic imaginable. Nick and Jessica Ortner are great. I am not a fan of the others who lead a few of the tappings as their voices are not pleasing, and a pleasant voice is really important to me when doing this work. There aren’t many like that - most are Nick or Jessica. I am a big fan of this app and highly more

This actually works. I am in healthcare and the stress of this recent Covid surge is overwhelming. This is a portable tool you can use anywhere and experience relief within minutes. I am only using the free version of this app and it is very helpful. Tapping lets my true feelings emerge that I may not have even realized were there in me. Just acknowledging them gives me a new perspective and helps me relax bit by bit. It’s inspiring how simple, safe and easy it is to begin to shift in 10 mins. I’ve done tapping in the past, it works well, I haven’t been motivated to do it on my own, but this app guides u so well, whatever I’m going through, I’ll pick that certain issues I’m facing at that moment, they have awesome choice of selections based on what u want to tap on. The music , the tapping techniques and the voice guiding u makes everything feel so much better when I’m finished .

I’ve turned to this app for my chronic pain many times. I used it last night for 12 minutes to calm overwhelm and anxiety regarding chronic pain. When I finished, I felt as though a huge boulder had been lifted off my shoulders!.

The process and results are very similar to meditation. The addition of the physical stimulation of tapping is huge in staying present. Not just good for easing anxiety, great for an energy boost and pain relief.
