What is Tapping?

Tapping, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), is a powerful holistic healing technique that has been proven to effectively resolve a range of issues. It is based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology.

The basic Tapping technique requires you to focus on a negative emotion at hand - a fear, a worry, a bad memory, an unresolved problem, or anything that's bothering you. While maintaining your mental focus on this issue, you use your fingertips to tap 5-7 times on 9 specific meridian points of the body.

Tapping on these meridian endpoints, while verbally or mentally addressing the root cause of distress, sends a calming signal from the body to the brain, allowing you to feel relaxed and in control.

How Does it Work?

Tapping makes full use of the mind-body connection, acknowledging and integrating the concepts that physical pain, disease, and mental wellbeing are intricately connected to our emotional states.

When we tap with the fingertips on specific meridian endpoints of the body, while focusing on negative emotions or physical sensations, both the brain's limbic system and the body's energy system are engaged, encouraging a sense of safety and resolution.

Through tapping, we're able to calm the nervous system, rewire the brain to respond in healthier ways, and restore the body's balance of energy.

I learned about tapping a while back and thought I would give this app a try! I use it everyday if not twice a day! Great app that makes it simple easy and convenient to work on whatever is needed, any time you have a few minutes. The effects are lasting and surprisingly deep. A stress buster for our times, that helps one become calmer and more self aware, more compassionate towards self and others.

I worked in an extremely toxic work environment for 6 mos. & would use this app on my breaks and during my hour lunches. Life saver. Would re-enter the office ready to work again & felt great each time as I was consistent at my practice. Yes I ultimately left, but the wear & tear would’ve been far more deleterious had I not used this app before my departure.
